Long Time;No Post

Again I want to express my apologies to one and all. I have been very busy between working my day job and revising the later books in the One Over X series. Although I am only focused on the Wolf Story elements at this time, I am very pleased with the story and despite having had to revise many sections I have not had to alter the basic story. I have found that it was a good story from the outset something that remains amazing in that I wrote the story in about 13 weeks just about 5 years ago.

I will need to re-read the entire series and intend to do that after I conclude the revision to the Wolf Story. I should be through with the revision sometimes before the end of the month (June). I will then go back to re-read Episode 2 as it is assembled. As I began this project by doing an extensive rewrite on sections of Episode One I am pretty comfortable with the text and story in Book 1. Despite the amount of work I did in Book 1, it was not as great an overhaul as you might believe. Most of it entailed correcting typos and grammar. I returned some omitted material that had been cut out previously because for continuity sake it needed to be there. I removed some redundancy and a few sections of extended narrative that did nothing to advance the plot. I expect to do more of the same as I re-read Books 2 and 3.

Although I plan to re-read Books 4, 5 and 6 there are a couple of other projects I really wanted to work on this summer. One of them is not book related at all. I have to move again. I mentioned that in an earlier posting. I am not sure I will get to re-reading the other three books of the series until the fall or winter.

I suppose there is no immediate rush. Ash Creek Publishing is holding Book 3 from publication until I am completely satisfied with it. The actual publishing of it may depend on sales of the other two books more than anything else. I am exploring some promotional vehicles to sell the books locally. I am also looking for a literary agent and am considering drafting a script to submit to movie producers.

One way or another, the story needs to be produced.

On other fronts, my friend, Ela'na is doing well. The last time that I spoke to her she sounded very optimistic about her fledgling hand-made jewelry business. She is amazingly talented in so many ways that she continued to serve as an inspiration for an only hack like me. I plan to print out a master copy of the series when it is finished and send one to her. So, if in the future this writing venture succeeds, she will have an original manuscript of the entire series. I have formatted all the books together in the past but have never printed them. It would be a considerable volume, about 2500 pages in 6X9 11pt. Maybe when all the books are in print, there could be a compilation volume printed.

Anyway, I wanted to bring everyone up do date and let you all know that I am still at my craft. I have not had time to work on the original material that I intended to post here. I still have to finish the story about the lady that ate her windows. Who knows; maybe that can be my first Children's book.
