A very impressive specimen. Some of the cannons on display were captured during the Spanish American War and are on indefinite loan to the Castillo de San Marcos. These cannon are more modern than the ancient origins of the fortress but they are contemporary to some of the cannon that have been used to defend the fortress and St. Augustine over the centuries.
